Ask any one who calls Pune - Poona & they’ll tell you that the only place to eat biryani is Dorabjees.. Dorabjee’s Biryani has been a household name for the last 50+ years & things haven’t changed a bit since then. It’s a little difficult to locate the place & there is limited or no parking... don’t let this put you off. The food is delicious.
A bit of advise, reach there early, they have linited seating, & there have been occasions that they biryani was over. The place is definitely not recommended to vegetarians.
The Phulka & Mutton curry combination is also good. Some other parsi specialities at Dorabjee’s include - Sali, Curry, Masala and Biryani in Mutton and Chicken; Kheema, Brain, Eggs, cutlets and so on. I believe that Dhansak is available on Sunday & I haven’t yet tried that.
