Doraemon is a great show! The characters and jokes are hilarious. Sometimes, Doraemon does teach Noby about things other than lessons on failure and everyday problems: in one episode, he teaches Noby about the concept of evolution, and in another, he tells Noby the story of The Woodcutter’s Pond, which is a Japanese folktale most Americans haven’t heard. Some episode segments are a bit scary, such as Go To The Doctor, Doraemon and What Day is Today.
In America, Doraemon merchandise is starting to appear, with everything from t-shirts, toys, and even dorayaki and tofu! If you want to watch something different from many American cartoons out there, give this anime a try!
