A Story About Friendship and Life.

The 60’s were a phase of candyfloss escapist movies in Bollywood. Most of the movies in that time were specially about Romance, and in all movies were boy meets girl in a hill station and parents don’t approve-but at the end everything is happy for ever and the movie ends( so boring). My grandfather was saw all movies( May Be) but he did not remembered all the movies, he remembered just only movies those were incredible. In 1964, a movie was released, which was different from the every Bollywood movies of that time. It was in Black and White, and instead of being set in Kashmir or Shimla Or Paris, it was shoot in Mumbai. The movie had two unknown actors as main characters. One of them was blind and another was lime. No Heroine, no duets, no comedy and even there was no Romance and instead of a love story, this was about a blind man and a lame man and all about true friendship.

In nowadays I thought no one( Specially Young boys and girls) interested in this type of B&W, old films because they want some comedy, Action and Romance in movie but it has not anything like these. When I first saw this movie I love this because it is one movie that I saw ever in my life, after watching the movie, my eyes were filled with tears and I was crying.

DOSTI has lots of songs and all of them are very sweet and meaningful. My favourite song of this movie is "Meri Dosti Mera Pyar" and "Chahoonga Main Tujhe".
