There used to be a time when I changed my soap brand every 28 days. The only effective result was getting a different skin texture and feel every month, not to mention the occasional pimples and the traces they left behind. The soaps that claimed to remove bacteria also removed some of the charm from my face, and I am still not sure if skin bacteria has any relevance to facial charm.
But my quest continued, and I was adventurous enough to try out even detergents (of course when I was young) to see if my skin becomes sparkling white. I was smelling (stinking?) of all the flowers and flavors in the world every month (I even tried a soap that claimed to smell like chocolate).
The revelation came when I ended up all dry, and my skin started to peel as though I had dandruff all over my skin. I didnt need a doctor to give me the remedy, but a friendly advice from a lady, who switched to Dove from Johnsons baby soap after her baby grew up to become 3. I was surprised after my first bath with Dove and wondered how did I ever miss to buy it before, and convinced myself because I was not rich enough then. It goes without saying that I regained my skin texture (read SKIN).
It has been so many years now, and I have never paused to try out other soaps, still scared out of hell of my dreams of the past, where I was painting my path with my dry skin peels. So if you truly want to know what your skin should really feel and look like, say goodbye to soap, try Dove for a few days, and then send me 5 cakes of Dove as a token of your thanks to me, for being your skin saver.
If you are among the 90% of world population who dread month ends, then avoid Dove because it is a little heavy on your budget. But if you value your skin more than anything more, dont think twice.
