Soundgarden's Last Album

Hey guys....this is one unique album I am talking about.

I found this tape in a small store in Delhi. I had heard their previous album ’’superunknown’’ and liked it very much.(that made me buy this tape)

Well, I think this one is just as good as the previous. The tracks are a combination of ’Grunge’ and ’doom metal’ style. Well, none of the lyrics are the ’happy’ kind.

The album starts with ’’Pretty Noose’’ which is a slow but heavy song followed by ’’dusty’’, ’’Ty cobb’’, ’’Blow Up The Outside’’ , ’’Burden In My Hand’’ - all being excellent tracks. Kim Thayil(lead guitarist) really takes off on these. Drumming is equally good.

Side B is also pretty good. Has songs ’’Tighter & Tighter’’ , ’’Applebite’’ , ’’Never named’’. ’’Applebite’’ is a slow song using an instrument I could’nt make out.
