While DPS may be a great franchise in terms of educational institutions the way they treat parents seeking admission is highly unprofessional. Every parent has a choice to get their child admitted in a particular school so is the school entitled to a choice of not giving admission to children. But what I think is a differentiating factor is how you treat the parents seeking admission be it for Nursery or any other class. I really fail to understand how can a guard be authorized to tell a parent if there is a vacancy in the school or not. Their job is to ensure security of the children and ensure that no untoward incident happens in the school premises. It was such an awful experience to not even be allowed to go to the reception of the school and talk to the administrative staff and enquire. whether there are seats or not, whether you want to give admission to the child, or whether I want to take admission in that school is a different matter altogether. Is the administrative staff so busy that they cant handle walk in enquiries? Or the concept of reception has changed? while you may have a lot of information on the website but I think there is still scope to entertain a few inquisitive parents. not everyone will turn up at DPS to get admission. this behavior of the school authorities speaks volumes about their arrogance and if this is the behavior of the administrative staff then GOD only knows what values they will impart to the students.
As they say, first impression is the last impression and for me that has left a sour taste in the mouth. Such a bad example and precedence set.
Am sure a lot of people, after reading my feedback would think its a story of grapes turning sour. but seriously thats not the case. Like any other parent am looking for a school(and by the way its not Nursery admission) and going about checking. But if a guard doesnt allow me to enter a premises stating there is no vacancy then I surely have a problem. Let me go to the reception desk first, its their job to tell me or advise me. How can they expecta guard to give fool proof information. How will you feel if a guard at a hotel tells you, no rooms avavilable or a full house or there is no booking. or a guard at a restaurant tells you no seats. How would you feel. Let the people responsible for doing a particular job only do that bit.
Highly disappointed.!
