I passed my B.tech from RKGIT ghaziabad. The college is associated with Abdulkalam techanical university formally known as uttar pradesh technical university. In my four years of student life I really do not understand what actually UPTU is?. It is biggest mistake of my life to take admission in college which is associated with uptu. There are lots of rules and regulation but all are garbage nothing else. There are many branches associated with it with some are core and with some derivative. More then 500 engineering colleges are associated with it. and all the colleges are just doing education business.
There is no quality teaching in any of the colleges except some top 10 to 20 colleges. And other colleges are making the student just B.tech graduates not an engineer. if you ask any student the spelling of engineering then i think mairly 1% student who will tell you exact spelling. I think this is the worst technical university in the India. The university is just like an engineer making machine which produces huge amount of un employed engineer each and every year. That is why in uttar Pradesh there is no values of an engineer.
I completed my graduation from this university, I waste my four years but I really don’t understand the education policy of UPTU. If you are a b.tech student you have to study 48 subjects in 8 semesters. 6 subject in each semester. But hardily 3 to 4 subjects are there which is really concerning with your branch.
The system of copy cheking is so worst that if you attempy 95 numbers in 100 then you may get only 55 numbers but if you attempt 35 numbers then you may get 55 numbers the only trick is filled all the pages of examination sheet. It does not matter you are writing right things or bulshit you just have to filled all pages.
I really appreciates university for their efforts regarding practical education. In b.tech course there are 4 practical papers in each semester but in the name of practical session only formalities have been done. For example a mechanical engineer learns about lath machine in his theoretical paper and this machine is back bone of mechanical workshop. Each college have this machine in their mechanical workshop as a show piece. Students are allowed to work on it in only practical hours. But no any student is expert in dealing the machine. I just mean after 4 years student forget the structure of the machine because of lack of practice on the machine. So why UPTU provides practical sessions. And all the colleges are just doing formalities regarding practical sessions.
Overall the worst technical university I have ever seen.
