I would like to know from those who availed the service of Dr.Batras clinic, if their treatment worth taking?
My roommate had developed a small viral infection on his hand (medical name: wart, more details at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wart) and took an appointment with Dr. Batras to have a consultancy on the same. I accompanied him to the clinic. The appointment and meeting with the doctor went on very well. The doctor identified my infection correctly at the first look and said this needs to be cured in 3 stages (Stop it from spreading, remove the dead cells, ensure that it doesnt repeat again).
That was fine. But when we asked about the treatment cost, the doctor came up with a one year package, priced at Rs 6900, upfront advance payment. We were told once we buy this package(consulatation plus medicine cost) one can avail the treatment for other disease as well, if any, for next one year.
We were asked to enroll on the spot-Somehow this 6900 Rs seemed to be a bit expensive for us and we said well get back to you within a day or two after taking a second opinion. Immediately the doctor told hell ask some finance executive to have a word with us. He left the scene and a lady came in. She said we can pay by cash, credit card, debit card and asked us which one we opt for. We said this amount is too much and we need to give a thought.
After attempting to convince us for a while she said she can arrange for upto 20% discount (under Doctors referal scheme), provided we sign up right there. She also offered to arrange for installments for credit card payment.
We said well come back to them in a day or two and came out.
After coming back I read reviews on Dr.Batra on mouthshut and most of them were negative and not encouraging.
Im soliciting opinion from mouthshut members on this-Should we trust Dr Batra and pay 7k or look elsewhere for the treatment?
Why is that they have one package for all diseases?
Theres no guarantee that treatment will work. What options do we have if no results come out?
Pls leave your thoghts as you read this.
Thanks.
