Curious

I live in america and was recently in india for a social visit. I have been suffering from hair loss for the last 8 years. I saw dr. Batra’s add in the daily newspaper and thought I would give it a try, afterall, homeopathy is not known to have any side effects. I went to their clinic and paid 9000 bucks for a year’s worth of treatment. They gave me 6 months worth of supplies and said they might change medication based on my progress. I had to pay 400 rupees extra for them to send the rest of my medications by post to usa.

Now I find it very interesting that they employ the same method of consultation with every patient. I had the exact experience as others who have written reviews on this website. First a doctor sees you. He tells you about how every hair follicle has a life cycle, which usually lasts for 3 years. Then he/she shows you what stage of baldness you are in on his desktop. The doctor then pulls out a few strands of hair from your scalp and tells you how they have roots and how they are week.

You then see another doctor who gets your detailed case history. She (in my case) asks you all sorts of unrelated questions and types the info into her computer. She then takes pictures of your hairline. She also tells you to do yoga and dring green tea and all that stuff.

You then see a third doctor who rubs your scalp w/ a liquid and combs your hair w/ a laser comb. Now how the heck can a homeopath use lasor technology? Its pretty sketchy.

You are also given an email through which you can contact your specific doctor.

Now I was in their clinic only a few days ago and haven’t started the medication yet. I read on this website that people have actually lost more hair after using the medicines. Although I know this is how hair loss medicine works (it first makes you shed all week hair so that new strong hair could grow back in its place. That explains the hair loss), I don’t know if hair loss ever stops and your condition is stabilized. So I don’t know if I should take those medications or not. Anyone has any answers?
