Everybody who plans to visit Dr. Batra’s Swindling Station (I mean Clinic) in recent future must read this very carefully.
After I heard from many and looking at jazzy press advertisements in several news papers I decided to take up the treatment for Hair-Loss at Dr. Batra’s Clinic. As I stepped in I saw many patients were waiting to get swindled (I mean cured). I was impressed by the initial impression and way the staff was behaving. There were many patients who were "patient" enough for their turn sipping Nescafe which was being served for free.
I was given a form to fill up which was lengthy enough to keep one occupy for atleast 10-15 minutes. I was told that nothing is charged for the consultation and it would be totally up to me to decide whether to go for the treatment or not. Though I had to cough up 500 bucks as "registration fee" which I handed over at reception with the form.
After waiting for 1 hour they called me in and made me sit in front of computer and finally the consultation took off. On the course I was shown many diagrams and was told about the types of baldness and how it happens and how Dr. Batra’s super speciality homeopathy works magically to cure the problem. By now I was much impressed with Doctor’s attitude and confidence as he sounded like "yes only we..only we can cure this".
I decided to take up the treatment and then I was told that I have to pay 7000 Rs. for 1 year in advance and I can collect the meds fortnightly . (though he was trying to convince me to pay for 3 years in advance which sums up around 22000 Rs.)
I was convinced enough to pay them 7000 rs. for one year (Thank God ! I didnt pay full amount for 3 years) I kept visiting them at regular intervals, they use to make me sit and wait for 30-40 minutes everytime. I tried to remain patient for several months and kept visiting the clinic.
THE BOTTOM LINE : nothing happened !!!. I felt cheated but by then it was too late. I realised that these guys once get their money arent interested in patients, they are only interested in new patients from whom they can snatch more money.
The secret of Dr. Batra’s sucess lies in only one sentence which is printed in smallest of the font size and often unreadable in most of its ads "RESULT MAY VARY FROM PERSON TO PERSON".
So, my friends..beware. !
