I just want to share my experience with Dr. Batra’s positive health clinic. (Well
it turned out completely negative for me :p). As I have seen with most of the
software engineers I too suffered hair loss after joining the industry. I tried few
dermatologists before going to Dr.Batras positive health clinic. Situation was
not improving and getting worse by the day. I paid some 10000Rs/- for 2
years treatment. And in my first appointment doctor gave me lots hope and
said treatment will get recover my lost hair. I thought its great news! But then I
had to relocate to Noida after very 1st visit. I came to know I could transfer
the case. I was a happy chap. Went to their clinic. And began treatment again.
It’s been 5 months now I’m taking their medicine. And you know what even
today if I put some water on my head and dress my hair at least 50 follicles
would fall. I thought am I being gamed or cheated or what’s going on. Before
this I already told doctor that condition is not improving. She told it may take
time. My patience was running out now. 5 months of medicine and absolutely
no improvement. In fact I felt condition was worsening. So I went directly to
their clinic and asked to cancel my treatment. I said I wanted to get my
remaining money back. They guy over there named Mr.Nitin, said he will talk
to doctor and give me a call back. 10 days went just like that. No call came. I
said, what the hell is going on here. So I called him up again and asked
what’s going on? He tried all marketing skills to persuade me to continue with
them. I said I’ll consider. But all faith was lost by that time. So I called him up
next day and said enough I’m not continuing anymore. Please return the
money. He said he is in between somewhere and will give me a call back in
15 minutes. Well 1 more day passed but he didn’t call me back as usual. So I
again had to visit that damn clinic. He said he can’t refund money he will have
to talk to chief doctor who is on leave. Well apparently for last 15 days he was
on leave. He said he will definitely give me a call back in 4 days time. I asked
him why the hell I need to wait for that damn doctor to return from his leave.
Return my money if he is not here let the doctor in-charge of the clinic make
the decision. He said we don’t have a policy to return money. Oh I said. So
will you eat everything and I won’t complain! I said take as much time as you
want but I will get my money back. Now guys lets see how many more rounds
I will have to make before I get my money back. I told myself. I have already
lost most of my hair. I won’t lose money at least.
So what this guy Mukesh batra trying convey to us by displaying photographs
of him with Prime-minister and other VVIPs that he can do whatever he likes
and can blatantly say I wont return your money of the treatment I haven’t
received ! White collar robbery from Dr.Batra!
Well Im posting this to warn my fellow IT geeks to warn of this hoax. Well my
experience is not good till date with Dr.Batra’s positive health clinic. Many
might have seen improvement in their case. But the point I’m trying to make is
that if you are paying 5000 to 10000 rs for treatment remember it will take hell
lot of effort to get it back. I haven’t got it yet. Will have to fight. May end up
going to consumer court to get my money back. But remember think twice
before you approach this crap. Try dermatologists and other therapy I guess it
may work better. Here under service agreement if customer is not satisfied
from the service or treatment he is entitled for the refund of money at least for
the service not received. I’ll keep you posted for any further progress in my
case with Dr.Batra.

Well as that guy Mr. Nitin told he would call me in 4-5 days but as I expected he never called. So finally after giving so much of time ard 10 days I called up to his clinic. Well he didnt come on phone. Instead they transferred line to chief doctor of the branch. He was asking me to continue treatment. I told 3-4 points
- Situation hasnt improved in last 4 months. Why should I believe it will improve now.
He said I will make sure you are assigned to a good doctor. I told so did u put me with some trainee ?
- Another point I raised that I told that lady doctor all the time that situation is not improving. She wouldnt do anything special. Same sugar pills and put some chemical in my head. Thats it. Do you think if you can’t explain me the technicalities involved and the duration I will have to wait I might have thought otherwise but your 1st doctor told that hair fall will be arrested with in 3-4 months. But the reality is much different than that.
He said you may not be responding to medicine. It may take more time.
- I said I don’t have any faith in your treatment. I have photo graph taken in february before joining your clinic and If I take photograph of my head today you will see the difference. Instead of improving I have lost much more hair than ever before.
He said have some patience.
- I asked will you tell me to have patience after 1 year when I’m done with all my hair ? Comeon dude, don’t try to fool me by giving me sugar pills. I gave you a chance you didn’t deliver. Now return my remaining money. Simple isn’t it ?
He said we don’t have a policy to return money.
- I asked give me mr. batra’s number. I need to talk to him.
He said he doesnt have it. Well no one has it !
- I asked his boss’s number
That number wouldnt ring. So its dead end before I make a call again.
Now here is the simplest case of not being satisfied from treatment/service and you want to discontinue. What they are offering you is either continue or forget your money. Well I paid 10000 bucks, not a small amount. But we software guys pay that much because we cant claim our medical allowance unless we claim it. So either we end up buying unrequired expensive glasses or landing up at cheaters door.
What I seriously didn’t like about Dr.Batra is not having an exit policy. Communist way of handling patients. That you can landup here but forget about leaving us. You can leave us but leave your money with us. But I will goto any extent to get my money back. I feel its completely unfair on their part to deny me my right to get the money back.
