I just want to share my experience with Dr Batras clinic in Bangalore and let users decide if they want to go for it or not.
I went to the Dr Batras clinic in Indiranagar, Bangalore branch for her treatement of severe headaches. The initial response was good, friendly doctors and effective medicine. Her headache was almost gone in couple of weeks. But the doctors also identified with some of the tests that she has developed thyroid and becuase of that she had headaches and other minor problems. They suggested to start the treatment for thyroid and I being impressed by their initial headache medicine signed up for the treatment for one year and paid all amount in advance (I know my bad - was trying to save some money).
After a month the real problem started, my wife started to have some allergic reactions form the medicines they gave like eye irritation, non-stop sneezing etc. When we complained they changed the medicines but nothing changed. Her medicine was changed at least 3-4 times even under treatment of their senior most doctor but it was no help.
We then decided to stop treatment immediately and submitted application for it. After some hesitation they decided to accept our application as they didn’t have a choice. When I demanded for the refund of advance money we paid they said it will take 4-6 weeks as it will come from their corporate head office that is in Mumbai. I having no choice agreed to it but as expected nothing happened even after 2 months. In fact my wife was getting calls that she has missed her regular appointments (what an excellent system they have).
When I started chasing after 2 months they started giving excuses that it should have been done, we don’t know why it hasn’t happened yet, concerned person not available blah blah blah. Then I had to change my tone and I started threating of taking them to consumer court. Since then at least they are responding and updating about the status of money refund. Till now I haven’t got the money back but in next 2 days if I don’t get it I am taking them to consumer court for sure.
I personally would never recommend Dr Batras as it is insanely expensive (just selling by name), no extra ordinary doctors to justify the cost and they will make you for 30-40 mins even after you have taken an appointment in advance. The local doctors in your colony are much better than this, at least they don’t charge you so high, quality is not guaranteed anywhere.
