I’m a mom of two kids and unfortunately both delivered by Dr. Fatima with difficulties. We also explored a lot as I got pregnant first time and found her with all five stars and so approached
her. Its true that she doesn’t ask for unnecessary tests or medicines and believes all things to be done in natural way. But the problem starts when she doesn’t even if its required. And when things get disturbed by her forgetfulness and carelessness. The word is’Sorry’very sorry’. During my first pregnancy she forget to test my sugars even after telling my genetic history about it. Later in sixth month suddenly she gotta reminder of mine diabetic history and she asked me to check. By that time it got too late to control GD so I had no other option left except taking insulin twice a day during rest of my pregnancy.
I went her as she is famous for normal delivery but because of my GD she did a C-section. And said, Sorry! Also I suffered too much with her nursing staff after operation. Only two nurses were there.
Who were getting stuck between two patients. Bad time. Got discharged in 5days(12-feb-2011 to 16-feb-2011) and got busy with my first angel thinking now over n not going to her again. But being foolish or what don’t know went to her again for my second delivery also. I thought she has delivered first one also it’s nearest to our home. Hoping all will be good this time. May be things got changed after 5years. Also we thought. She is forgetful. So we will make her remind so that nothing will get missed like earlier. But this time also I had got urine Infection but she dint ask me for any test. When I complained her about the pain she said it’s normal. Then I consulted another doctor she asked for a urine test it came positive. But was not getting cured for two months so again went back to her and this time she cured my problem and so I was very happy. But she wasn’t happy as I Consulted other doc. Anyways, I continued with her then. She told me that as my first one was C-section this will also be same. Had got GD and by 7th month I was on heavy dose of insulin.
Delivery date she has gave wa 12-sep -2016. But on 11th August morning my water broke and I rushed to her by 7:15am. She came @8 and started consulting her other patients. It was an emergency for me but not for her. She came @ 10:30 - 11 am I remember. Checked and said we can wait till tomorrow morning. I told her politely that I was worried that water broke and you came so late to see me then she replied rudely I have other appointments with patients too. She said tomorrow will operate you. You get admitted now only.
Then her staff nurses kept checking heartbeat of my baby. By night she came to see me as if I’m getting labour pain which I wasn’t and I asked her is there chance to get pain in night and will nurse be coming in night too checking the heartbeat of baby then she literally blasted on me badly. Saying don’t tell me what we have to do. If you will have pain we know how to handle it. Don’t you need to tell me anything. If you don’t trust you can go. I was just clueless what wrong I have asked for! I had no option as on almost last stage of delivery. Felt like crying when she scolded me for no reason. Talked so badly with a would be mom. That too with a mom who has come back to her with a trust for her second delivery.
Then early morning at 5 I felt lil pain. I Informed her and she came at 8 and said will operate after an hour as Anasultanesthetist isn’t available.
Again after an hour she came checked n said I have chances for normal delivery I denied coz I had made my mind for c sec and dint wanted to get pain as first was already a c sec. I told her I don’t want normal. Then she if you want c sec you go to any other hospital. I do what I wish I don’t listen patients what they want I don’t do anything according to patients. She told my husband you take her to any other big hospital if she wants c sec. Again I gave up as had no option changing doc or hospital at the last moment. She said by 5- 5:30 I will deliver. Induced pain but then at 9 she transferred me to labour room without seeing baby’s head out. And there most horrible things happened when baby wasn’t coming out I was almost faint with no energy(as from morning I was on liquid sprite) and wasn’t able to push and the worst part in labour room she gave up and started apologising that I shouldn’t have insisted you for normal. She used forecep and also called some other doctor who pressurised my tummy to help the baby come out. It was all unnecessarily created problem by her own. She had delivered me on risk. Later, all she has told that I took you to the labour room before the time as I was worried tha your c sec stitches may get pressure by much pain and also one of my staff nurse wanted to leave so before her leaving I want you to deliver. And one more interesting thing that the very next day she came n told me that I went to some seminar where I told about your case and my all friends ds were praising me that Fatema how you do so. In other hospitals doctors are not allowed a previously c sec patient to opt a normal delivery on risk. How you do it all in your small clinic. I was just an experimental material for her it seemed.
Can you imagine how would I have felt in labour when the doctor I trusted gave up herself on her decision which he insisted me by saying leave my clinic if you want a c sec. She said it was like a bad dream for her.
Also, I had got infection in my stitches but she wasn’t bothered as she checked n said all well its healing up don’t need to sit betadine warm water. I complaint about pain so she said this will be ok. It was getting infection but she dint notice saying it will heal naturally. So I had to rush next day manipal hospital. I dint prefer to go to her that time as already faced lots of pain because of her ignorance.
It was only me I guess who was given a special treatment by her. Felt like she had taken revenge for something I asked nd she blasted otherwise It wasn’t required to deliver normal after c sec when it was a risk. So I wouldn’t refer her for a single person.
