My mother was admitted for a kidney problem. She died due to not getting targeted treatment at the hospital. For 4 days they gave her pain killers and antibiotics that were resistant to the infecting organism. Then they shifted her to ICU saying it is septicemia and that her chances were slim. She died of course. We have filed a case of negligence against the doctors. This is going on for years now as the hospitals lawyer just takes dates.
Further the hospital added insult to injury by making false bills.
1) charged me for Opthalmic Surgery though she had no opthalmic issues at all.
2) They charged anesthetist charges for 3 days(she had a procedure only on 1 day). One of the charges is for the day after she died!
3 Charges for doctors visits range from 1 to 1.5 visits, 2.5 visits. I dont know how they calculated the 0.5 visit. Was the doctor standing in the doorway?
Each time we said the bill is wrong, they added more errors or changes. They over wrote the subtotals so if you add the listed items it wont add to the subtotal. They changed the number of injections listed from the first version of the bill. If they had charged for 2 and given 2 they now charged for 4.
They always inflated the bill value. It never came down. Finally they took the money from the insurance company. Dont know how the insurance paid such false charges. Perhaps they are all hand in glove.
This is the worst hospital ever. They would not give my mothers reports though we had paid for it during the treatment. We had to pay photocopying charges and get photocopy of the reports that too was given after 6 months. These people have to be really taken to task. They have no respect for their patients and their consumers.
