We had my mother operated by Dr. Laxman. He visits a few hospitals in Bangalore including Shanti Polyclinic and Sagar Apollo.
First of all, he runs extremely low on integrity. If you ever visit him, probe him with a few details and observe he gets defensive and brushes off your questions. In our case, he outright lied about the health of my mother and wanted us to get her operated immediately even though other doctors we sought opinion from didn’t see an urgent need for a surgery. Eventually, we went to him for my mother’s surgery due to some recommendations.
Agreed, we should have done better job of seeking references from this doctor. It so turned out that he did not complete the surgery fully and within 3 months, we have to get a second follow on surgery. He lied again and again when we probed him about the success of the first surgery.
One thing to note about him; he will never answer your questions directly and behaves more like a politician than a doctor. He has an extreme "better than thou" attitude. We strongly recommend you DO NOT visit this doctor since he’s extremely pathetic liar and runs very low on integrity. If you have such doctors in movies, Dr. Laxman is a real life .who can beat the movie villain characters.
