I am writing this review for the benefit of anyone waning to know about Robotic prostate removal surgery for prostate cancer. I am 74 years old, surgery done by Dr Raghunath SK and team.
After discussion with my family and myself on all aspects of the procedure I went into Surgery on 29 Aug 2024 about 9am, woke up in ICU about 9 hours later. First two days after surgery are difficult with IV tubes, drain tube and catheter. Liquid diet and semi liquid food is promptly served by the hospital for nourishment, nursing staff were kind, did a good job, doctors visiting regularly. Third day I am discharged. Dr Raghunath keeps in touch by WhatsApp every day giving important instructions and answering all our doubts. which helps you a lot.
Fifth day I take bath. By the 10th day after tests for any urinary infection, the urinary tubes and the sutures come out. In 15 days after surgery things are looking promising.
The teamwork of the doctors is a strong point at HCG and with DR Raghunath himself leading the team, their equation is just perfect.
