Dr Vasudev Dhananjay; Jay Clinic; Police Station Road, Basavanagudi . We started going to Dr. Dhananjay when our daughter was just 3 months old. At that time, we were staying in Basavanagudi and it was quite convenient. Over the years, we moved to JP Nagar 7th phase - definitely not a convenient place to come from - but we still continue to visit Dr. Dhananjay when required.
Dr. Dhananjay is an old-school doctor - i.e. unlike the modern quacks of today, he’s reluctant to prescribe any medication, unless really necessary. Further, unlike other doctors, he takes time to listen to all your complaints, including the very standard complaint from mothers that their children are not eating.
Dr. Dhananjay and his staff are friendly and professional.The clinic is very neat and clean, much unlike some of the other clinics i’ve been to. Cleanliness at all times is a big priority here. Babies have to be diapered at all times and any mess is promptly and hygienically cleaned up.
Dr. Dhananjay charges about Rs. 400 for a consultation, but he has his own system of determining when to charge. For example, if we visit him when we’ve already visited him once before say upto 3 weeks back, he
doesn’t charge us at all. We’ve had plenty of no-charge consultations - it’s a function of how recently you paid the full amount, what the consultation was about, the time spent and activity done, etc.
All in all, he is not the usual money-minded doc who’ll ask you to pay up just so that he can look at you. We trust Dr. Dhananjay very much to give us the right medical advice every time and I would unhesitatingly recommend him to all parents.
