Its nearly a decade that Pub Culture hit India. Banglore & Mumbai being far ahead of rest of the cosmopolitans both in terms of Pubs and Pub hoppers. During my days at college in Banglore I must confess, I did visit a few Pubs accompanying friends and close-ones. My favorites being The Underground, Nasa & Pub World.
One thing I learnt very early during my visit to one of these Pubs were, first you should carry the attitude of a Pub goer and secondly you must wear appropriately.
Pub World, being less sophisticated didn’t mind much on clothes, but it was The Underground and Nasa, that desired more or less what we will call The Pub Dressing.
Pub Dressing, never means dressing freakily, but instead its quite an art.
Nice Combinations
For starters, T-Shirt with a logo, or one with funny message, along with Jeans is good. Faded and Skin Hugging Jeans are not my taste, but a simple one with a pair of Woodland shoes would look wonderful. You can also wear flat front trousers, if you are wear Plain Single color T-shirt. But remember, whenever you wear T-Shirt wear in contrasting color with Pants/Jeans. Caps with Cool Lingoes, not a bad idea.

Jeans: Levis, Numero Uno
Flat Trousers: Zodiac, Allen Solly
Skin Tight Round Neck T-Shirt, along with the Leather Jacket always give you that rugged up look. Do it with Jeans and Heavy Boots. Sunglasses is must.
T-Shirt: Reebok
Jacket: -
Heavy Boots: Woodland.
Diagonally Stripped Shirts(Tight Fit, Half/Full Sleeves) are the in thing now. Wear bright colors. It goes brilliantly well with flat front trouser and Tight Jeans. But you got to have a sleek physique for this combination. Sunglasses is a added asset.
Shirts: Zodiac
Skin Hugging Half Sleeves Shirts looks good, with tight Jeans or flat front trouser. You can try both printed or plain.
Shirts: Numero Uno(Best in this Dept.)
If you have a Silk Half-Kurta, especially in bright color, with Trousers, is something we don’t see much often in a Pub; makes you special. Full Kurta’s are a put off unless you are 35+.
Half Kurta: Best when got Tailored.
Perfumes and Deos
This one is completely a matter of Personal Taste. I’m not into perfumes so can’t comment much on that and as far as Deodorants are concerned its been 4 yrs. I’m using a single Brand. Gillette Wild Rain, its the smell of my choice.
Shoes
Its what you wear on top that decide what shoes you wear. I know most of us understand that. So wear appropriately, Lee Copper(Black Shoes) and Red Tape(Brown Shoes) should be obvious choice, when on formals. Reebok scores over Nike, when it comes to sports shoes. And on heavy boots, for my pocket Woodland is the best. These 4 Brands can take care of most of your wardrobe needs. But its up to you, how you fix the puzzle.
Attitude:
Don’t be sissy when you are going out for the pub. You are going to drink and enjoy, so be in that mood. Don’t pass comment on other fellows, especially females.
