Remember, they see your outter self first!

Let’s just start by saying you have many options of dress when going on job interviews. So let’s start........

You can walk into an office looking like Madonna, in a pointed bustier, fishnet hose, high heels, and dark red lipstick, or you can walk in looking like a person interested in obtaining employment. Your choice.

I suggest that for any job you are applying for, be it at McDonalds or a big corporate office you walk in looking clean, neat and professional!

A woman should alway dress conservativly. No mini skirts, no low cut blouses, no spiked heel shoes. Wear a suit with a skirt or slacks in a neutral color. The skirt should be no more than 2 inches above you knee and no longer than 3 inches below your knee. Too short and you look (for lack of a better phrase) common or tatty. Too long and you look frumpy. Wear shoes with mid high heels that you are able to walk in. Do not go walking in on stiletto heels, wobbling about. Do not wear long dangling jewelry either. They are not looking for flash, they are looking for employees!

Keep your make-up to a minimum. Never go in looking like a painted clown. And please, comb your hair. Messy may be the style, but the person interviewing you wants to see your face.

It’s easier for men. A clean shave, clean, combed hair, a nicely fitting suit or jacket with pressed pants. Clean, polished shoes and you’re ready.

And for everyone. Don’t overdo your perfume, cologne or aftershave. Not everyone loves your scent as much as you do.

Please, have your resume or application ready. No one wants to have to wait for you to go through your briefcase, attache case or purse for papers. Have a pen handy and answer all questions with precise, well thought out answers.

Last but not least. Walk in with a smile and a look of confidence.

Good luck to you all! Hope you get the job!
