I think I look my best when I wear monochromatic colors. If I am going to attend a casual party, I do not want to stand out by wearing very, mini, mini skirts or see through blouses. I think that look may be suitable for a women going to a single’s bar, but not a casual party.
I prefer comfortable(washable) silk slacks in a black or neutral beige color. Then I always enjoy wearing a simple sleeveless top that matches my slacks. I prefer to keep the top simple, so I can accent with my jewelry! My signature style of necklace is the 14k gold figaro 20 inch necklace that has been diamond cut. This adds some’sparkle’ to my outfit without having to put on too much jewelry. I also prefer to wear a matching jacket that I may remove if I get too hot at the party. I prefer to wear small oval 14k gold hoops and a couple of 14k gold bangle bracelets to bring the outfit together.
Of course, the type of shoes you wear with this outfit are very important. If I am wearing jewelry, then I prefer a low heel sandal that would allow me to wear a toe ring if I wanted to. I do not think that tennis shoes would be appropriate with this outfit. And I do not enjoy wearing dresses or suits if it is a casual party, so high heels and pumps are definitely a no-no for me with this outfit.
I think to finish this outfit off, you must also wear a casual hairstyle. Since my hair is shoulder length, I would pull it back at the nape of my neck and use a matching color hair barrette to keep it in place. I feel that with this style of dressing, you can relax and know that you are not overdressed, but chick! Let your carefree style show that you are out to have a good time!
