Socks or no socks????????

Living in South Florida( Ft. Lauderdale), casual or formal has come to mean no socks, ( casual) or with socks, ( formal).

Because of the year round warm weather, we Floridians seldom will be seen in suits and ties. There are certain exceptions like funerals, weddings, and court mandates. Sometimes a suit and tie is required for certain job interviews, but as soon as we get home, the suit goes back into the drycleaner bag and back into the closet. Likewise, there are certain real formal events that call for tux. If you don’t own one then you can pass on the formal event and everyone will understand that you don’t own a tux, or you are too cheap to rent one.

Living in South Florida means that you can get away with summertime casual dress all year long. All you need is a couple of pair of socks for the formal events.
