I am the last person who should be giving advice on dressing well for parties since I usually end up at weddings wearing my torn jeans and sneakers. But then this is not to say that I am completely clueless about Fashion. Its just that comfort is far more important to me and as most people saycomfort is all that matters!
Anyway, at times we all have to be a bitconventional and so this review is for thosespecial occasions.
For Gals
If you are going for an Indian wedding, please wear something traditional else be prepared for thoselooks from your aunties. Wear something bright since itll be an evening affair, but we dont want to look like a disco ball, now do we? If its winter season, please put on a nice shawl or something because its absolutely ridiculous when girls walk around in flimsy blouses even when it is snowing outside.
If you are going out with your friends and it is a formal affair then you can try a skirt. It is upto you but I think one should go for lighter fabric and not some nylon polyester crap that not only looks cheap but is very uncomfortable to wear in hot summers. Knee-length skirts look great with boots(winters) or a nice pair of stilettoes or heels.( I used to avoidheels thinking it made me look too tall, but then as my best friend once said theres no such thing as too tall) It doesnt really matter if you are short or tall, if you can walk in high heels, go for it!
As for makeup I think one should just experiment and see what looks good, if you are dusky then I think you have more options as darker gals look great with brown shades and pretty much anything, but if you are pale or fair then pinks and lighter colors are preferable. For instance, I go for an eyeliner for sparkly eyes and pink shades for my lips.
Note- Please buy clothes keeping in mind what goes with your skin tone.
Since I dont know much about guys fashion, I decided to stick to Gals.anyway if you are one of those rocking chicks who doesnt give a damn about clothes or makeup, id sayparty on!
