A courier was booked from Uttarpara to Durgapur on 13 Aug 2014. Uttarpara office checked Pincode directory of DTDC and informed delivery not available in 713210 pin code location. Courier was then marked for City Centre Location(pin code 713209) with appropriate notes for collection by Customer. This was done by DTDC Staff himself.
When courier reached Durgapur, no call was made to customer. City Centre Staff was rude when asked about courier status over the phone with staff even asking recipient not to even disturb by calling. Durgapur DTDC HQ Office phone nos are not picked by anyone. Ultimately a personal visit to HQ office revealed courier was lying there and they didn’t know what to do since pin code was for rajbandh(this was put by DTDC staff at Uttarpara) but address was for Durgapur. They didn’t even bother to call to check.
They even said there is delivery in the recipient area. Total chaos.
Worst service ever possible from DTDC Durgapur. Please always try for alternate couriers if delivering to Durgapur.
