My wife booked a consignment yesterday from HRBR layout branch of Bangalore, she specifically asked the lady at the counter that whether the courier can reach Delhi tomorrow, she advice me to book the courier by express service which was changed Rs 150 from Bangalore to New Delhi and assuring that it will reach Delhi the next day.
When it did not reached to the person on the day, I checked the DTDC site and called 011-3058 0999 by my number, some lady picked the phone and transferred my call to some other lady who took my consignment number and simply put me on hold for eternity.
I then called 011-3058 2000, I waited from some good 8-10 mins before somebody finally took the call. The guy who picked the phone was talking like amateur and was looking distracted as if I had disturbed him, this was supposed to be customer care number, the clueless guy finally transferred this call to his manager I think, who adviced me to contact Bangalore center.
I firmly told him that I have enough of this non-sense and I want to know the reason behind the delay, he finally assured me that he will call Bangalore and found out the reason for delay. NO RESPOSNE UPTO NOW.
Surely there seem to be something terribly wrong with the DTDC, there seems to be no synergy between zones and by talking to customer care it felt as if I have booked the consignment from 1 company and contacting other company.
The staff is amateur and customer care worst in the Business. The staff just passes the buck to somebody else and this cycle goes on forever.
I know that DTDC is not legally bound to deliver the consignment on time, but surely they have lost a customer and probably more due to the same reason.
This has happened to me twice in 2 weeks (Express courier not getting delivered), so I am done with DTDC.
