I had ordered a softwared from an online store. They sent it to my residence in JP Nagar 1st phase address through DTDC courier. When the delivery came, we were not home.
There was a yellow color slip on my door on 23rd April, saying they had come on 22nd and 23rd. This slip luckily had the consignment number and a mobile phone number - 9986013938. After calling the mobile many times, the person answered the phone told me to visit the DTDC office in JP Nagar 2nd phase. He said, they are the ones who handle delivery in JP Nagar 1st phase.
I got busy for few days and could not visit their office. I visited DTDC website online and tried track the consignment. Status on DTDC site showed that the package was in DTDC Madivala office. I tried calling the Madivala office. Mobile phone number given on the site does not work. Land line numbers are either always engaged or nobody picks up the phone.
After trying two days without any luck, I finally visited the DTDC office in JP Nagar 2nd phase on 29th April. It is behind Ranga Shankara, near Police Station. This branch is not listed on DTDC website or any directory. Difficult to find it. They checked some files and said it has gone back to Madivala office.
I kept on calling Madivala office throughout the day. Finally, after attempting for 2 hours an arrogant lady voice answered the call. She asked me to hold for about 5 minutes. Then asked for consignment number and immediately told it is in JP Nagar office and asked me to contact 26581957. I called this number immediately. They said, ’it is JP Nagar 3rd phase office and they handle only JP Nagar 3rd and 4th phase and they can’t help’. I tried calling Madivala office again. It was an endless wait to get their line. Finally when I got the line, same arrogant lady started shouting saying it is not in the Madivala office, I have to contact JP Nagar office. I tried to explain her that I have already visited JP Nagar 2nd phase office and called 3rd phase office without any luck. She was in no mood to listen. She called some number, shouted at somebody and again screemed at me asking for consignment number once again. She hurriedly shouted me to call some Veeresh of JP Nagar office on 41121331 and collect the delivery. She hung up without waiting for me even to write down the phone number. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen in my entire life.
I called Veeresh, he said he will check and get back to me. So far, I have not heard anything.
