Why to stay away from Airtel DTH

Let me tell you that it was a pleasure dealing with Airtel customer care for nearly a year , that is till the time that I actually encountered a problem and tried to register a complaint for loss of video.


At the very outset let me assure you that the customer care sucks!! & the IVR su*ks even more.


You make people chose the language in the IVR menu but the customer care people can only talk in Hindi......The customer care department keeps putting you on hold for in excess of 10 minutes!! and then the call gets disconnected.The customer care executives are a ’BIG ZERO’ on your own plans etc & are of no help & invariably you need to talk to a supervisor to get things done.


I got my connection relocated from Chennai to Delhi & the engineer charged me Rs. 300 for visitation for 2 connections + 1400 for wire & connector etc. the connection stopped working the next day & on lodging a complaint I was told I have to pay Rs.100 visitation charges again?????why should I pay again when the connection is not working after 1 day of installation?? - but you have no choice as u have made the mistake of paying advance rental on the primary connection for a year.The channels I am paying for are not coming & I have been following up with your customer care for the same also.


Net net Airtel is following the great footsteps of all the companies like MTNL etc which fall down the day the consumer gets a good alternative.


Here’s hoping against hope that you guys wake up or soon you will have to pack up. Just to validate why don’t you guys  pose as a consumer & talk to the customer care department to understand how badly it sucks.


Take Airtel if you are another Anna Hazare who wants to sort out the company.
