In protecting Varanasi from the war by the prayers of the Varanasi King Maa Durga lives here in a Red Idol by own. Later the temple built in 18th century in Nagara Architectural style colored with natural red ochre, a rare type of clay material.
And the temple had many small Shikaras joined together which was it’’s today’’s awesome look that we see.
The temple located 4kms from Kadhu Viswanath temple on the banks of a Pond known as Kand. And the temple so called as Durga Kand of Varanasi.
I am blessed by the Powerful Goddess that the idol feels like Maa Durga appears in the Mukha Dwar.
