Wanna get rocked and thrilled? Then watch Dus, a movie you will never forget because of its excellent action and performances.
Dus is a story about Siddharth (Sanjay Dutt), Shashank (Abhishek), Aditya(Zayed Khan), Dan (Suneil) and Aditi (Shilpa Shetty). Siddharth, Shashank, Aditya and Aditi work in ATC , ie Anti Terrorist Cell. They get a information something terrible is going to happen on May 10. The man behind this will be Jaamval. They come to know that an associate(Pankaj Kapoor) of Jamvaalhas been arrested by the Canadian police for drinking and driving. They get this info for their agent Neha (Esha Deol). So Siddharth sends Adi and Shashank to Canada to find out who Jindal is and also to get some info about him from his associate. Will they come to know who Jaamval is? Will his associate give them the info about him? In Canada comes another hero Dan (Suneil Shetty), a Canadian cop of Indian origin to help them. So will they suceed?
The climax is really unpredictible and the last 30 mins of the movie is exciting.
Everyones performance was great. Sanjay Dutt was great and he delivers a great performance after Parineeta. Abhishek Bachchan, after Sarkar, gives a brilliant role. He is really becoming better after each film. Zayed Khan was great but he was a bit too stylish. But thats ok because his character demanded it. Suneil Shetty was superb and was the right choice for the film.
As for the girls, Esha Deol was excellent. She too is becoming better after each film. Shilpa Shetty has also given one of the best performance but her role was not much in the second half. Dia Mirza and Raima Sen, who were seen before Parineeta, do not have much role in Dus, but their role is very impressive.
Pankaj Kapoor has given his careers best performance. Gulshan Grover, was ok and Ninad Kamat, who was earlier seen in Zeher and Parineeta, was excellent.
Direction was good but not in that form that is required in an action movie. Vishal-Shekhars music was great. The songs Dus Bahane, Ishq ko, Cham Se were very well directed and choreographed.
Allan Amins action created dhoom-dhamaka on the screen. As stated earlier in Blackmail, he is the best action director of India and in Dus he proves it again.
On the whole, Dus is a classic example of the new age cinema, cinema that enlightens, cinema that entertains.
