I was thanking my wife from the bottom of my heart - within the first half an hour of the movie, that thanks to her, otherwise I would have been looking here and there while watching this one in a theatre.
IT was she who went to her parents home for about 15 days last month that I missed this one in a theatre and ended up watching it with her this weekend - after buying the VCD yet again from my hard earned money (150/-) I am sure I am not gonna watch this one again in near future - Dont know what to do with the CD I have bought - any takers ??? I know there are lots of Dus fans out here who are going to rate this one as NU.
I dont care - As I felt so pathetically irritating while watching this one, didn’t wanted to forward the movie as I was the one who insisted to buy this one - thinking that it wud be a good bet, the only saving grace of the movie according to me was the Title Song - wherein my nephew will shake his leg and make those hand movements like abhishek and the comedy, I never knew or guessed that this is supposed to be a comedy movie in the first place. Did u noticed the Idiotic Role of Pankaj Kapoor ??? And the way they have placed all the interactions of Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek ??
Horrendous activities of Zayed Khan who can touch a vehicle and will tell you that the bomb planted in there is a C4 category or K3 category, Keep guessing what the F*** are those categories as nobody is going to explain, he can do all the stunts on the roof of the moving car without any problems, wow checking the bomb by just touching the vehicle is amazing, he’s got a confirmed job with FBI once he gets fired from Bollywood.
Everything is so very well predictable in the movie that I was literally dumb struck and it took me a while to understand and grasp that this indeed is a super hit movie (Correct me if I am wrong), I am still thinking who are the guys who made it a super hit??? Did they ever-watched movies like Mission Impossible 1 or 2?? Or Terminator any part?? Any of the Matrix ??? Or any Hollywood movie like Lethal Weapon, Tango and Cash, anything at all.
Wow, I was surprised to see a fundoo looking detective agency or whatever it was, where in all the gals look like they have just come up after doing a Fair and Lovely ad, all wearing knee length skirts, cutie pies, walking here and there in the office, everybody is having a file in his / her hands to look busy do nothing, Senior Detectives would be watching one video on almost 10-12 screens (All screens will have same video running). Sanju baba the main hero would be wearing a Suit throughout the movie (Raymond’s - The Complete Man), Shilpa Shetty would be wearing a Jeans throughout the movie with a pipe top and would be showing a meaningless tattoo on her back, keep on guessing, it will lead nowhere.
Although comedy is worth watching, whenever Sanjay Dutt and Abhishe bachchan will meet onscreen, Sanjay will smell Abhi and will ask ’’Did you smoked??’’ and he will say no, that was one thing I liked till the very end, when he really confesses before dying that he does smokes.
Lets not talk about the technicalities of the movie, they are alright ignorable, but how about the Idiotic over acting by Pankaj Kapoor, which tells in the first 30 minutes only that he would be the culprit behind the whole scene, cool idea.
The Detectives here in India and there in Canada too look very professional and thorough that they will die for their nation, they have no personal life, but suddenly they become so emotional and everybody starts weeping like a crocodile, I am amazed, sanjay dutt at this age and stage, cant tell the director that ’’Boss, I cannot weep like that, I am a professional’’ but no, look at the scene where in Abhishek tells him that he is going to sacrifice his life for 25000 people and the way Sanjay Dutt weeps, but the very next moment, when he kills Pankaj Kapoor you see no marks of his weeping on his face or expression.
Story : There is no story, One terrorist planning a big boom, Indian detectives looking for him here and there, gotta solve the case in 7 odd days or they are jobless. They get the bomb, they destroy it, some die, some live happily there after.
Every Detective has a Gal to fall back on. Sanjay Dutt when have love pangs - calls his GF / assistant - shilpa Shetty to AIIMS Flyover to meet. Zayed Khan Loves Sanjay / Abhi’s little sister, Suneil Shetty Loves his wife, who has already abandoned him, but will come back by the end of the movie, Abhi falls in love with the wooden faced Esha Deol, I was surprised why was there no woman in the life of Jamwal ?? or better for Gulshan Grover ??
One more thing I didnt got seriously is - while they are always together in the movie, they come to one location in 4 different limo’s ??? and when zayed khan puts in a hand granade while doing a big stunt in a dirt bike into the car this guy Gulshan Grover is shooting from, the bomb takes so much of time that they all three get together and start walking in the different direction, what the heck was Gulshan doing all that time while they were getting together?? he was waiting for the bomb to explode ??? yeah he really was - since thats how he dies. Hollywood Zindabad.
Songs ?? Only title song is worth listening again, rest of the songs go well with the movie, but later on you can’t listen to them, believe me.
We have already seen a lot of Canada and USA in all other movies, they have not shown anything new in there. I feel like the Director was given a big box stuffed with lots of money to spend as per his wishes, and he did spent it here there and everywhere.
I can bet that none of us can watch this one twice. But all in all, it’s an ok movie to watch and laugh about later.
I am logging to bazee now to sell off the CD.
