DUS is a total entertainer which is low on substance but high on style, gloss, action, starpower and music. Compared to say Dhoom, Kaal and Elaan which also tried to achieve similar levels of entertainment-Dus in my opinion ranks higher than the rest.It is simply paisa vasool!
Plot
The film revolves around four memebers of the ATC(Anti Terrorist Cell) played by Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Zayed Khan and Shilpa Shetty. They work for the government and their aim is to stop terrorists and terrorist actions. They are informed that a dreaded Indian terrorist Jambwaal is in Canana and plans on causing some major mass destruction and killing thousands of innocent civillians. To make things difficult no one has ever seen Jambwaal or know any information about him...all they know is that he exists.
Sanjay sends Abhishek and Zayed off to Canada after he is informed that one of Jambwaals henchmen(Pankuj Kapoor) has been caught by the police on drink driving charges and their aim is to kidnap him and find out the whereabouts of Jambwaal. In Canada Abhishek and Zayed meetup up with another ATC spy Esha Deol who is also a part of the mission. Later they also form a alliance with a local cop(Suniel Shetty) who decides to help them out..
With 10 days on hand the hunt for Jambwaal is on...where is Jambwaal? What is he planning on the 10th? DUS provides the answers.

1.Abhishek Bachchan
The kid is on fire after BUNTY AUR BABLI and SARKAR. Although his role here is not as complex as SARKAR -he still gives a likeable performance which will please his fans. He acts with thorough confidence and brings a certain ’cool’ aura to the whole movie. His delivery, diction, screen presence and style is fantastic throughout. Even in the climax Bachchan leaves a lasting impression in a scene that can be described as throwback to his fathers act in sholay.
2..Pankaj Kapoor
His delivery, getup and body language is simply fantastic and each and every scene the actor is in he steals the show.
3.Sanjay Dutt
He lends maturity to his role and suits his part to a T. The John Wayne swagger is is in full go here and he looks fantastic in the designer suits.
4.Shilpa Shetty
She leaves a mark looks the part she plays and and is brilliant in the action scenes. She also looks absolutely stunning throughout..Indias answer to Aneglina Jolie anyone?
Zayed was so so.Diya Mirza looks absolutely stunning but yet again her character does not have sufficient footage at all to perform. Suniel Shetty is dependable as always. He leaves a mark in his role .Esha is wooden.
Minus points
1.Abhishek and Zayed try and recreate the type of chemistry that Dharmendra-Amitabh did in SHOLAY or even say Akshay-Saif did in their countless films but the chemistry between the two is evidently missing.
- The climax of the film is overdone.
3.The film is devoid of any logic.The story and screenplay is the weakest link of the whole movie.

2.The music in the film is a highlight. Although the songs don’t help with the narrative at all-they are so damn addictive and picturised superbly.
3.Technically the film is akin to any Hollywood movie and is no doubt one of the slickest products to come out of Bollywood in recent years. Cinematography by Vijay Arora is his finest effort to date. slo motions, fast cuts, close ups, zoom outs, split screen, multiple screen and much more has been incorporated here and it enhances the films overall affect and helps with the narrative as well.
