This is indeed a splendid valley to trek, situated in the Indian State of Nagaland. I do remember those childhood landscape drawings which used to consist of a row of mountains, a river streaming through them and the sun at the horizon. Dzukou is the place which makes that picture a reality.
I started my journey from Guwahati to Dimapur, the nearest Railway station to Dzukou, which is nearly 75 km away. For my convenience I hired a Tata Sumo so that I can stopped wherever I like. I progressed with my eyes wide open, trying to grasp every shred of beauty that lay around me. The best time to visit is June when the lillies are in full bloom, or in January when the River gets frozen.
