Dzukou valley, when I first heard about this place from my friend who is from Dimapur{Nagaland} last year and he showed me the picture of Dzukou valley that boost up my eagerness to visit there once, So we planed to visit there in the month September as the best to visit the place is from the month of June to September because the Dzukou lily and other flowers can be seen during this months only. TIPS FOR BEFORE VISITING DZUKOU VALLEY
, take your winter cloths, carry basic first aid, carry a rain coat, rain guard for your luggage trekking shoes, comfortable clothes for trekking, if you going with your DSLR carry extra battery pack, carry some food items or energy drinks and lastly avoid carrying extra luggage . firstly- we have to first reach in Dimapur as Dimapur is well connected with the rest of India with Airways, Railways and Roadways. from Dimapur it is 2 and half hour journey to reach Kohima .i.e.74km and from Kohima its 22km to reach Viswema and 17km to Jakhama as these are the two possible ways to reach the Dzukou valley and there is a facilities of air transport to reach Dzukou valley, {RS 3.5 thousand per person}.It takes 4-5hrs from Viswema through trekking to reach Dzukou and 6-7hrs from Jakhama as it is a erect hill side which is a route from the stone catted staircase .It is good to heir local people from Kohima or from nearby village i.e. Viswema and Jakhama as you tourist guide . secondly- There is a proper arrangement of both fooding and lodging in the valley which is a imitative from the local people for the tourist, the Angami Youth Association take care of it There are even some natural caves which can be used for residing .
