Cheats!!

I

have a suggestion if any one of you have chosen to spend their

holiday at Eagle Eye Holiday Home in Chikamagalur district,

Karnataka, India - CANCEL your reservation. It might save you a lot

of disappointment. Let me share our experience. We went to

Chikamagalur last weekend for 4 days. We had booked first night in

JLR resort and it was a memorable stay. We had booked the next 2

nights in Eagle Eye Holiday home and they almost ruined our holiday.

To begin with, they have not even placed any road signs for their

resort. It was a big struggle for us driving through the coffee

plantations with noone to ask for directions. They do not have even

basic sense of how to treat their guests. We drove for around 4 hours

from JLR to reach Eagle Eye. Inspite of calling them 2-3 times during

the journey in advance, they could not even save some lunch for us.

Hence we reached at 4 in evening hungry and tired and despite of a

lot of request, all we were offered was evening tea with some basic

snack. To top it all, just after 15 mins we saw a group of people

having lunch! On enquiring we were told that they had asked them in

advance to save some lunch. Me and my wife could do nothing but stare

at each other in disbelief. The worst was yet to come. Before

choosing this resort we had chosen Eagle Eye after a lot of googling.

We were hoping to be provided one of the great looking rooms that

they had posted on their website. But when we were led to our room,

we were literally taken aback. It was nothing more than a 0-star

hotel room with very poor interiors and no amenities that you would

expect from a 3000 Rs. per night room. This was their so called

bungalow room.(If you want I can email you pictures of that room) We

felt cheated and dejected. Later we came across another couple who

had exactly the same experience. The food is ordinary, the staff is

least helpful and the amenities are bad. To sum it all, this was the

most pathetic holiday resort stay we might have ever had. Another

word of caution - we made this booking through Padaki Tours and

travels Even they never gave an indication of what to expect at Eagle

Eye. We are never going back to them for organizing another holiday

for us.
