We went to Eagle Eye resort in Chikmagalur in a large group - 80 people. Its around 50 km from chikamagalur. Will take around 1 to 1.5 hrs. Its extremely hot. Good time to go is Nov - Feb. Even the forest safari is closed from Mar till Jun.
Pros:
Good retreat if one wants to be away from crowds, chaos.
Location is good. The coracle ride, fishing, trekking (very small. around 1.5 kms of trekking) are good. We did not try Tree top as it rained heavily and we did not want to move out
Cons:
Finding this report itself is extremely difficult with no directions. The actual road that leads to the resort is 1 kms inside the main road. This 1 kms is a bad patch of road. Not tarred. Any vehicles bigger than the Jeep can not go through.
Very far from Chikmagalur and other site seeing locations. Not accessible. Going around, by staying in this resort will be extremely difficult. One needs to have own vehicle.
Not value for money.
Food is very very bad. We literally starved for the 2 days, as we could not palate the food.
