We had a recent hotel reservation made, booking was done 1 month ahead of travel. This reservation was non-refundable. Since one of our family members was unwell we requested the possibility of rescheduling the reservation which Easemytrip promptly acknowledged. Trusting them we had postponed all the plans later to find out after 40 calls and 2 days of effort that the hotel is unaware of this rescheduling and they already started charging for the rooms we had reserved.
EMT customer service sucks and they dont have any method of escalation. All so-called executives are trained with similar words and phrases which they will keep on repeating for whatever that you ask. I was forced to believe that this is the model EMT follows - issue a non-refundable booking and agree for rescheduling, and finally show it as a no-show and grab money.
Finally, we were forced to travel with our sick member after wasting a day of the reservation to get something back from our hard-earned money. This is two days after travel no one from EMT bothered to call or follow up on the request for rescheduling.
Final verdict - dont try to save peanuts like us, if you want to travel pay full amount and have some mental peace.
