No suppor / Company do not own up technical issue

I am a very frequent traveler and till lately, easemytrip.com had been one of the very good sites where I book tickets from. However, the experience that I had today was absolutely ridiculous and outrageous.  I needed to book tickets for a trip with departure on 14th April and return on 28th April - both on Sundays. As usual, I selected the dates from the calendar option. I went ahead with the confirmation and to the payment gateway and made the payment. I received the tickets in my mailbox and to my utter horror, found that the dates have been changed to 15th April and 29th April. I got totally confused with this and luckily, as I did not close the page, I repeatedly pressed the browser back button, to check whether I made any mistake in providing the dates and found that, there was none.


Moreover, mentioned above, since I select dates from the calendar option, the chances of having selected a wrong date in this instance is also not there as both the dates fall on Sundays and are on the end of the week row whereas the dates that the tickets got issued are on Mondays and fall on the 1st column of the next row. I immediately called up the (pathetic) customer care people who insisted that I made the mistake and said nothing can be done. When I repeatedly asked for help, they suggested that you drop a mail at their customer care with the screenshots and regarding the tickets, the only option that I had was to either cancel them or reschedule - either way I need to pay up an additional amount of 2500/- and any additional charge of price difference. As the trip was of utter importance, I had no other option but to go for a reschedule.


As told by the customer care, I sent the screenshots of the selection screen and also the ticket, but as obviously, once the money monger got the money, .. who cares !!! This is just to keep all customers informed that, there are bugs in their system and they will not own up these - because at the end of the day, it is the poor customers who will be at loss. Please do your transactions very carefully and at your own risk. What a horrific lesson, ....I vowed never to get into easemytrip again.
