Nice cosy hotel, at Khalili, Shimla. Quite quaint, though far from Mall Road but good to enjoy the nature. Was there in October 2004, hope its as nice now also. Rent is on the higher side. This hotel is made of wood at certain parts and gives an old world British charm. The nice thing is it is not a concrete block, and not an eye sore. It is connected to history as important people during and after British rule had stayed here. Service is slow and needs to be improved. Food was good, though nothing extraordinary.
The hot water system breaks down once in a while, though it is repaired its a nuisance standing in your bathroom in cold waiting to get hot water. Its not in the heart of the city so if you are looking for long walks you are in luck. Shopping needs effort as the main Mall is at a quite a distance.
