This is a food court sort of place located in the Habitat Centre at lodhi Road. You dont need membership in the club to go to the restaurant so if the durban stares you, you stare right back. The concept of the place is to have different fast food restaurants in one place, much like the food courts in malls in the US.
So they have this sandwich/bakery place, a burger/pizza place, a chaat corner, a chinere thing, a punjabi dhaba. You get your food from any combination of these places, and then there is all this space in the middle where you can sit and eat. Its pretty trendy, with large plasma screens. Sadly all they show is music videos, I was hopin they’d be showing cricket during a game but was disappointed. The food is regular fast food fare. I didn’t find it expensive cuz I was converting it to $, but my Indian friends said it was pretty expensive for students.
So not to the food I tried:
The chinese: its pretty regular fair with the same old garlic fried rice etc....
The dhaba: dont eat their chicken rolled int he rumali roti concoction, I was sick for 2 days.
The sandwich place: Great chicken sandwiches. A sandwich was like 55 bucks, but I thought it was worth it and pretty filling. An advice tho, tell them to nuke it in the microwave for you if you are eating the tandoori chicken one.
The chaat place: Extremely stingy people, smallest serving of Lassi I have ever had, serving that size of a lassi should be banned. But their stuff looked pretty good, wish I had tried their Khandvi.
the pizza place: didnt try it for obvious reasons, I live in California, I get enough of that stuff already.
One thing that really pissed me off was that everyone eating there pretended to be a freakin millionaire or something.
It was always full of these bitchy girls and guys who were there just to show off. its a eating place people...not a status symbol.
