I placed an order for HTC Sensation on eBay.in (list price 23, 850 Rs.) as I had a coupon from ICICI Bank viz. ICICI42027 for Net Banking.
After applying the code I saw the requisite deduction of 500 Rs. (New price 23, 350 Rs. with the original price struck off) and the NetBanking from ICICI Bank was auto selected. After I went ahead and made the payment I found that the original list price had actually been charged and no discount of 500 Rs. had been passed!!!
I called up the call center and was passed on to an extremely inefficient Ms. Laxmi Pedda who put me on hold for 30 mins and told me that I had not entered any Promo Code/ Discount Voucher!! I informed her of the details and even how the screen looked after the code was applied. I came to know that she was quite junior and did not know how to handle this as it was clearly a technical issue with the site and asked to be put through her Supervisor and then I was shocked by the audacity of the lady. She said "I will not put you through to my supervisor". I insisted, but she refused.
If anyone is reading this letter I ensure that I am never ever going to purchase from eBay.com and will ensure that none of my 1000 odd collegues and 500 odd friends do so either. I can pay a few bucks more at Flipkart.com you guys will anyways swindle in out of me.
This is the worst ever online buying experience, ever!!! To list it down:1. Your site is not functioning properly (accepts promo codes but does not pass it ahead)2. Fraud - Your site shows the amount which has been deducted but does not actually apply it when the payment is being made3. Call center employees do not have knowledge of processes. In the name of empowerment, all eBay.in has asked them is to refuse to answer queries or pass on to supervisors.
Beware online shoppers from these fraudsters!!!
