I buy lot of home products like electronics and computer accessories after comparing the price and brand name at local market.
There are many good product sellers. But when a dispute comes, Ebay support the seller as they have taken a huge commission from them!In my case, when I bought 17’’ Studio laptop directly from Dell, the laptop bag was not included and they were asking for Rs.2300/- for back bag of different bag, extra.
Not having even ’Dell’ logo!. I searched in Ebay and found many sellers. I sent the size of my laptop to all of them.... and one guy replied saying that he can supply to the size and included in his item list.
He quoted a price of Rs.880/-....but I found the picture same for both small and 17". When I contacted him he said though the picture is same the size is different. Believing and as ebay rating was good, I ordered for the bag.
It came in 3 days time.....wrapped in old news paper packing!! Though the bag looked nice and good quality, I found the bag was for 14" laptop! I wrote to the seller, but he was not agreeing. I made a claim through PaisaPay through which I made payment to the seller and gave negative feed back to the seller.
Then the seller started arguing saying that he will not refund/exchange because I gave negative feed back! PaisaPay/Ebay said that I should wait for 30 days to make a claim! Meantime, I did all formalities by filling all details in their ’Resolution center’. After 30 days I gave all details that they asked.
But I could make out that they are in favor of the seller. Now I have received mail from them asking me a third party certificate in their letter head, certifying that the supply was wrong!
They are trying to threaten saying that they will close case as settled if I don’t send the certificate within 4 days, in spite of my telling them that I am out of station and it will take 10 days to return home.
I bought a personal product for my personal use...they want a certificate from a third party!!, Does it not look foolish and stupid.Another bad experience. Warning..never buy from ebay unless you are 100% sure that the product is cheaper then market, it is a good branded quality and the seller is genuine.
