Baazee.com an Indian auction site, which was launched earlier last year, is now going through tough time.
First of lemme tell you that the idea of auction in a country like India is foolish,
here people don’t trust buying even if they see the product, forget buying it online.
I don’t say all are like that but the majority of the peoples thinking is like this only,
Any ways after all this baazee was launched.
I think the reason behind was that these guys got a big funding from the VC’s who were just interested to invest money in dotcom not knowing whether the idea behind was successful or not.
They were launched with a bang, with huge advertisements all over like banner ads, hoardings and advertisements on taxi n all.
They spent a hell lot of money on marketing and advertisements but if you see the technical part its worse, thats what brought down baazee, although they did every possible thing to reach to the common masses.
Even me as a common man at first liked the idea of online auction and thought that India is progressing and developing in this field,
But when I logged on to the site first time I was totally lost no idea what the sites index page reveals, it was all so congested and the color used was pathetic which remarks a bad impression on your eyes.
Any ways this was about the design part, but to tell you the technical part is worst than that, the site used to be down most of the time or would be very slow because they have put so much unnecessary things on their index page which slows down the site.
I tried to auction my MP3 player on it which was totally new, but believe me I dint get a single bid on it till today, and forget the idea of buying anything tried to buy a cell phone, and what ever phone I clicked their end time would be that day itself or within few hours...i don’t believe it either because I have never heard anybody I know that they have got anything from Baazee.
Now they have started the commercial ads on TV which I think is a waste.
They should shut down Baazee and should invest their money somewhere that will prove any better for them.
