I am not going to be as critical and as hard as Amrita, but have certain comments to make. The website is not well designed, and is little difficult to browse through. I have tried to bid once and did bid. Surprise Surprise, my account when I logged on next day says, there are no bids. God knows where my bid has gone.
I am a novice at bidding and auction. can this web site help me to bid properly. I am not sure of the answer.
What amuses me is the Idea itself. These brilliant blokes from U.S working in huge consultancy firms cannot think as an Indian. It is said, be a Roman in Rome. When Mcdonalds and Pizza hut are making Pizzas and burgers Indian way, cannot an Indian use little of his brain and do a market research to start and get a conclusion that pure auctioning does not work in India. And also mind you, we Indians are little averse to buy things on a second hand, that too when we do not know the quality and the value also little. I am also not sure of bidorbuy.com
Well, I should say that, probably I feel little lost when I hear that, these companies have got a lot of VC funding. Even I had a decent idea with a decent revenue model, but could not get through any VC. All I can say is that the idea we had those days is far better than Baazee.com
Coming back to baazee.com, I think some changes are indeed required and one has to do a lot of study on the management of web sites and ways to make them successful.
I wonder when will baazee.com will go public?????????????if at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
