E-shopping has a long way to go.

When I heard about ebay some years ago I was really astonished by the concept. At that Time Bazzee was not existing. I was really excited to try this concept but since ebay was not existing in India I was worried about the shipping problems. At that it time e-shopping was not famous. I was even more worried about the quality of the product. Even after so many years I am worried about the same thing bcos in India lot of duplicates and smuggled stuff are existing. Sometime ago I bought a Samsung DVD Player from a local shop who used to deal with imported Electronic Items.

He was a very good friend of mine since so many years. He told me that the player is an imported piece from Singapore. The player was working very well. After a few months I used some CDs brought locally. Apparently the CD players sensor was damaged. So when I went to the local Samsung Showroom to rectify the player they said since this is an imported piece the Sensor head is not available in India for this partucular model and so it has to be sourced from some other country and it would cost me Rs.3, 000/- whereas I bought the pplayer for Rs.4, 000/-. So comparing the costs I felt really miserable. If I had bought a Samsung Player from a Show-room here I would have repaired the player at no-cost bcos the player was still in the warranty period.

So if this is the case when you buy from a reliable source itself , then how can we rely on an unknown person selling some Electronic Item from an unknown place. the worst part is when I heard from a friend of mine who is an Electronic Items dealer, who used to fly frequently to Singapore, Malaysia etc., told me that in Singapore and China the technology is so advanced that if u take a scratched and damaged Cell-phone to a shop-keeper he can change the whole IC inside and replace or buff up the outer metal finishing of the cell-phone and within minutes he can make the cell-phone look like a brand-new one without a single scratch. so just think what happens if any of the on-line sellers do something like that and sell it to you.

If this is the case how can we rely on e-shopping where u cannot even see or feel the quality of the product. ofcourse u can see the product if a genuine seller posts the present condition of the Electronic Item, which in any case cannot happen. Even some of my friends who bought a phone through e-shopping had experienced some worst things.

all of you should be aware of the recent news which hit the headlines. The government caught one person who was trying to sell Newzealand on one of the web-site. If this kind of cranky, crooked nuts are online selling something then think about the qauality of the web-site. These kinda of crooked people can also sell stolen cell-phones also which if you buy it you will be caught. Who knows even terrorists try to sell their mobile-phones. you should be knowing that all the phones have a particular IPIN Number. if any terrorists or thieves sell the phones and if you buy it you will definitely be caught and will definitely be in trouble.

Shopping will definitely be a worthfull experience if you do it physically. E-shopping certainly will not give such a rewarding experience as physical shopping does. Moreover you will see a lot of different new eye-catching products if you go to a shop whereas in e-shopping it is not.

As for my knowledge e-shopping has to come a long-way in the years to come. e-shopping will definitely be time-saving when you have decided on a particular or brand in mind. Eg., if you want to buy a Brand new Sony TV or a Brand New Nokia Phone then just go to that particular company’s web-site and Cart for a new one. This might be time-saving but this will be atleast 20-30% Costly compared to Showroom prices bcos some brands offer free and cost-effective shipping when you buy it from showrooms compared to buying online. Moreover you can go to a show-room and negotiate on the spot where you get a lot of good bargains and feebies which connot happen on the net. Bcos those discounts are offered especially to dealers.

given the pros and cons I feel better to do manual shopping than e-shopping. I request all the members who have read this review to comment on this review and rate this review. Probably the members in their comments can also come out with better solutions for the problems which e-shopping is facing presently.
