Ebay is adopting dubious billing method. Ignorant or First timers will definitely have a occassion to feel cheated by this dubious billing method.
In any shopping website , be it for goods, or advertisement bookings, or trading of shares, or net banking, after completing all blanks, a bill for the amount, being charged to the client, is flashed. This ensures that the computer of the Company has not made any totalling mistake or typographical error., the customer or buyer is informed of the exact bill (to the last paisa) payable by him/her. And what’s more the customer has even at that moment , the Option to cancel or correct his order and to be issued a fresh bill or a O (zero) Bill.
In case of EBAY , go register, book a item and bingo you are billed. Or forcibly billed.
No option to cancel. No option to correct your order. No fresh bill. the noose is tigtened on your neck.
I was a victim to such practise. They have billed me Rs.5000/- and odd for a real estate property that I posted but did not get the chance to see the final bill or cancel my order ., the said item was posted on the site ONLY for 3 days. Yes, only 3 days and after a week I got a bill that I have to pay Rs.5, 000/- and odd.
Now they tell me that this practise of not billing online customers, is mentioned in the terms and conditions, which I have signed , when putting my real estate property for sale.
I have decided to challenge them in appropriate Court of law if they continue to forcibly bill me and or collect the amount.
