Before I tell you my terrible experience with Ebay let me ask you a question. How will you feel if someone starts punishing you without letting you know why you are being punished? In spite of you asking the question again and again you are being beaten and punished without letting you know the reason and that too when you have very good reputation with the person who is punishing you and you know him since long. How will you react? I am exactly in the same situation and I am being punished by Ebay without even knowing the reason. They have taken away my hard earned Rs 1 lakh.
I am an Ebay user since Oct 2006 and I am doing both buy and sell transactions on Ebay. Though I have started selling on Ebay recently but I am buying on Ebay since long and I have 100% feedback on Ebay since Day 1 and I have never received even a single negative or neutral feedback from any of the buyer or seller on Ebay which indicates that I have a very good reputation both as a buyer as well as seller. I started selling on Ebay some gift vouchers just two months back when there was a scheme at tripadvisor.in where they were giving free Rs250 Indiatimes voucher for every review or photo you upload at tripadvisor.in. That gift voucher could be redeemed at a purchase of Rs 750. i.e. for Rs750 you need to pay Rs500 i.e. a discount of 33%. I thought that it’s a good opportunity and I uploaded all my photos of various places at tripadvisor and also posted the reviews of the places where I have been. In turn I received a lot of Indiatimes e-gift vouchers which I used to buy various physical gift vouchers like big bazaar, shopper stop, wills lifestyle, john player etc at a discounted price. Like that I collected a lot of gift vouchers because of sharing of photos and providing my reviews at tripadvisor.in. Since, I myself have purchased these gift vouchers from Indiatimes, I have the credit card/ bank statement as a proof of purchasing these vouchers from Indiatimes because I have purchased these vouchers using my credit card/debit card but because of security reasons I am not sharing those bank statement here but if Ebay wants it as a proof, I can send them across. But for now, I can share with you the screenshot of all the order numbers/order details at Indiatimes from where I have purchased these gift vouchers. Since, I had collected these gift vouchers in bulk, I thought of selling some at ebay at a discount of 5%-10% and hence I had put these vouchers on sale at Ebay. Ebay was running some good offers like free gifts, 15% discount for ICICI bank customers etc at that, so because of these offers I was able to sell my vouchers on Ebay very quickly. I had put the add on my company billboard also for selling these vouchers and I sold few through my company billboard too but two of my colleagues who saw that add on billboard had asked me to sell those vouchers to them though Ebay because of additional discount/gifts which were given by Ebay. I had put those vouchers on Ebay and they purchased my vouchers through Ebay and paid using their credit/debit card. I had Tata sky recharge vouchers also which I had put on Ebay for sale and I sent the recharge code to each buyer to their email ID registered with Ebay. Since those vouchers were sent through email, there is no courier receipt for the same but I have the serial numbers of the recharge vouchers and I can give those numbers as a proof to anyone and they can check with Tata Sky Company that these vouchers are purchased using my own credit/debit card. I also have the serial numbers of all the big bazaar vouchers which I have sent to each and every buyer and I can give those numbers also to anyone and the same can be checked with big bazaar that these vouchers were issued to me (Rohit Kakkar). Every time I shipped the voucher to the buyer, I provided the shipping details for each shipment at Ebay. I started getting my money from Ebay as and when I sell any voucher on Ebay and the receipt is confirmed by the buyer. I got appx 50k from Ebay and everything was fine till now and Ebay started harassing me after I crossed 50k of remittance and now they have suspended my account without any reason and they have kept appx 1 lakh of my money with them.
