Ebay leaves their customers in MISERABLE situation

NOTE: READ IT TILL END. THIS CASE WILL LET YOU KNOW THE REAL FACE OF EBAY

As the world knows that eBay is loosing it’s streak and getting lost slowly. And in India it’s still like a child playing in front of the field experts like flipkart, amazon, snapdeal etc. The reason is obvious. They take their customers as granted while the counterparts(flipkart, amazon) as God.

Many of their sellers are totally fraudsters. The reason is obvious. They let anyone to sell on their platform without incorporation of any effective policies. Looks like they are in hurry of beating their DADDYies out their in field which is impossible for them running this way. Either they have accepted the fact that they gonna pack up in some years or they are way stupid to even survive. Well, enough generalization. Lemme tell you my own experience with so called one of the world’s e-commerce leaders, eBay.

I bought a LG nexus 4 from eBay in gosf sale in December 2014. Actually my friend and I ordered two of them in gosf sale. First of all, they take hell lot of time to deliver the package. But that didn’t bother us as we were in no hurry. And happily unboxed them simultaneously. And after that started a series of shocks. My friend was so unlucky that he couldn’t even see the welcome note and logo on his Nexus. Actually his phone didn’t even switch on for a single time. Got bothered obviously. Mine was working properly. And was happy. But still there were suspections in some corner of my mind that I, too, gonna become victim. He talked to eBay. Ebay guys said him to talk to seller and gave him seller’s contact number. They(eBay) didn’t even bother to talk to seller on his behalf. So he contacted the seller who picked the phone after two days of continuous ringing. Then my friend couriered the phone and got his 600 bucks of courier charge after two months. Finally his issue was solved.

Then came, after 2 months, my case into the picture. My Nexus started working absurdly. It started to switch off automatically one or two times a day. Signals started to drop to zero automatically. The back crystal glass got cracked automatically. First in two pieces and then three and then finally seven to eight. As per ethics I went to LG care. They checked the IMEI number which was written on the SIM tray of Nexus. First they didn’t find any phone with that IMEI number. Then they checked IMEI number on bill which was the original IMEI number of that phone. And then what they told me was shocking. They said this phone has no warranty in India because phone was purchased abroad and is sold in India. Also it was assembled abroad, YES ASSEMBLED, means not a genuine product. A single phone was having two IMEI numbers. They said battery has expanded in size and that’s why back crystal glass is cracking. Also the speakers of phone were duplicate, YES DUPLICATE.

Most shocking thing was that IMEI number of the phone on box was not matching with that on SIM tray. Clearly it was a fraud.

Then I talked to eBay guys. They said that they can’t do anything as I was calling them after one month of purchase and I should have called them within one month of purchase. Ohhh come’on man why would I call if my phone is working properly. I said problem came after two months that’s why I’m calling you now. As simple as that. Moreover I’m not approaching you on the first hand. I went to LG care first ethically and on the basis of revelations they revealed I’m calling you. After processing the case in various eBay departments for 15 days they said talk to seller. Fcuk you eBay on that. If this was the solution then you could have told me on the very first day of issue.

Then I called the seller who again picked the phone after 2 days. He then said the phone is not duplicate or assembled even after telling him the IMEI number scene. Come’on man, for the sake of humanity, don’t deny such a fact. What else proof do you need? And finally he said that he can’t do anything, talk to eBay and he has been banned on eBay and no more sells on eBay.

Now I’m again calling eBay who put me on hold for several minutes like this is the only work I have in my life. Now they have put my case in grievance department.(I don’t understand why they have so many departments)

Now I’m gonna go to CONSUMER COURT. They can handle them properly.

If anyone has any solution to this problem, please do reply.
