Ebay: The most pathetic expirience

Hello Readers,


A good online deal! An amazing price range! Wonderful service! Customer First! Genuine product guarantee! if these are words that you are looking while shopping on Ebay then please join some meditation classes to develop patience, tolerance and sacrifice your hard earned money.


I am not sure how they are still surviving in the market as they don’t have anything to offer to their customers and I am surprised that we being educated and I being a researcher fell into their trap. Actually it is my spouse who is the customer of Ebay and she is still feeling sorry for that.


We ordered an IPhone which is suppose to be brand new however it was just a dream. When the phone was delivered we notice a scratch and damage on the phone. The Front camera was Tilted and Upper right hand side panel had already come out. Moreover this phone was on Ebay guarantee, was a joke to me.


We followed to get this replaced by talking to the Ebay customer service center and ended up talking to people who cant understand the problem and are not enabled to help. We were promised resolution in 5 working days and its now only 50 working days passed there is no resolution. Not sure if the meaning of 5 is 500 days for them. Looks like Ebay team is inspired by interstellar movie and they want people to keep waited for years.


I was further surprised when Ebay customer support agent apolozied for the 1000% days  delay stating that there were lakhs of claims that were expected to be settled and thus it got delayed. How can a company survive with so many claim settlements and unsatisfied customers. Every time I call the Customer support center and ask for call back for resolution I get a promise that it will be addressed in 48 hours however that 48 hours have never arrived from last 48 days.


Now I am exploring options to see how we can approach consumer forum to get our issue and customer cheating addressed. It is not only about customer cheating it is also about the sentiments of customer, time spent on chasing, frustration that we have gone through and emotion with the product.


Let us raise our voice against the injustice so that our fellow customers are not further cheated and companies like Ebay take them for ride.
