Baazee dispute resolution and purchase protection

I have placed 86 orders on baazee, probably 40-50 K or more worth of items in last 1 year or so. I am not going to discuss the usual stuff about baazee, but about their dispute resolution process. This is something what you may run into one day, if you get a product not according to the mentioned specs, or downright cheated let’s say.


Following are my 2 experiences about it:




  1. In first case when I received a product which didn’t work, they sent a mail saying that if I don’t respond within 3 days, the dispute is automatically considered resolved. Well, I missed the deadline, and there goes into drain a purchase worth 200 or more.




  2. In a recent case, I purchased a product worth 1100, and it was not upto its specs. This time, I made sure to respond promptly to all their communication. But baazee simply stopped responding, even though they promised they will contact the seller again. I have sent 7 reminders to them, and promised to write a negative review if they don’t respond at all.






And to top it all: even though they promise that they will cover buyers under purchase protection program, they have simply not responded to 10 or more mails on the topic.


So be warned, if you want to buy a high ticket item, say a digital camera, camcorder or such thing, be sure of what you might be getting into. As for me, I have stopped further purchases from baazee.
