Prevention is better than cure

I believe that if you take care of your body right from the beginning you can avoid severe body ache problems commonly caused. I have read the many experiences about my friends in MS. Well I was appalled and pained to see that they have suffered so much. And I really admire their effort to fight against the obstacles.


Well my philosophy is that I better prevent stuff that can happen and yes if stuff happens well I will fight it till the end.



What brings on that ache?



Bodyache becomes very common when we cross our prime unless and until it is terminal. Body ache may result due to many reasons. Old age is a common reason. Consuming too much Coffee is another reason. There are many which can be listed down but the most common one which afflicts us is due to bad body posture.


How we sit, stand or sleep matters a lot to the body. This is the basic point which we should consider. Right from the time when we are teenagers we should develop the right body postures.


Constant standing or being on your feet may lead to varicose veins.


Too much exercise is also not very helpful. Long term workouts may also cause uncomfortable strains and body aches.


Too much intake of coffee is also responsible for Osteoporisis or weakening of bones.



You can prevent it!



Well here are some points which may help you in avoiding the common bodyache problem.


You can start by learning how to sit straight. Get a chair which supports your body straight and you have good support for the back. If necessary get a cushion which supports your back.


Walk straight. Dont stoop and try brisk walking. While sleeping, sleep on a comfortable bed. Avoid sleeping on very soft beds. Try and get a firm mattress to sleep on. The best way to sleep is without a pillow( I know it sounds funny) but yes pillow height needs to be low so that enough support is available for your neck and you dont get cramps. too high a pillow can give you unwanted cramps on your neck and bad mattress can give you a bad hip and back pain.


Be sure you give enough rest in the evening to your feet. Soak your feet in saline water(salt+ water) and massage your feet with cold cream.


A warm hot shower is very helpful when you come home dead tired. Hot water acts as an antidote for tired muscles.


Once a month you can go for a body massage in aromatherapy parlors where they will massage you with the essential oils for the body. This is very relaxing and it rejuvenates you with fresh energy.


If you are constantly on your chair, do take a break to have a short walk up and down the stairs or across the room even if to say hello to your friends.:):) If you are constantly walking or standing. Do take sometime to sit for few minutes before you start your job again.


Exercise is invigorating but dont overdo it. Different people have different stamina levels. You will know after a few days how much or rigorous exercise you can do. Dont push it. Stick to your level and build up your stamina for more.


When you are picking up heavy stuff or carrying heavy stuff make sure that you pick it up with your whole weight and when you are carrying something heavy balance the weight on both hands. This will prevent you from having waist, arm, hip and shoulder cramps.


The next thing to remember and it is very important though we neglect it half the time is to breathe in the right manner. Many of us breathe in and out in short gasps which obstructs the air from flowing into your lungs and providing proper blood circulation in your body.Look at it like this. When you are breathing in you are breathing in life and when you are breathing out you are taking out all the toxins from the body. So to live you have to breathe in real deep and take out your breath well too.


Even when you are exercising you need to control your breathing accordingly or else you will get cramps very easily.


Yoga is a very good method to relax your body and righten your body postures.


When you are having coffee do put in large measure of milk. This will not help but at least it will minimise the risk for a frequent coffee drinker.



Suggestion



Remember small aches lead to very large and complicated aches. If you control small aches and learn to control your body. you will be leading a healthy and wealthy life. why wealthy? because health is wealth:):):)


For specific illness related with body aches, do check out Naturopathy, biochemic or Homeopathy forms of medicine. They are good and dont have any side affects. If it is very bad . take allopathy medicines as a last resort.
