Effective Pain Relief

Co-Codamol tablets are stronger than normal paracetamol. They can relieve mild to moderate pain, these include headache, migraine, neuralgia, sore throats, period pains, backache, muscle pains, toothache and rheumatic aches and pains.

Each tablet contains Paracetamol 500mg Ph.Eur and Codeine Phosphate 8.0mg PH.Eur, Starch(maize and potato), Povidone, Talc, Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate and Nipasept.

These tablets come in different sized packs: Pharmacy packs are in 12, 16, 24, 25, 32.

Before taking these tablets, you have to ask yourself some questions(these are on the leaflet provided):

·Are you allergic to any of the ingredients or any other painkillers?

·Are you pregnant or breastfeeding?

·Do you have Asthma or breathing difficulties?

·Have you suffered a recent head or brain injury?

I usually get these tablets from my local chemist, although sometimes I get them can from my local supermarket.

I take these tablets instead of normal paracetamol, because I get bad headaches so these tablets relieve my pain better as they are stronger.

When taking this medicine you should follow the instructions on the carton. Adults, elderly and children over 12 years should take one or 2 tablets with water every four hours in necessary, but not more than 4 times in any 24 hours. Not to be used for infants.

If symptoms persist for more than 3 days you should consult your doctor.

After taking Co-Codamol tablets there are some very rare side effects, these include:

·Allergic reactions(e.g. itching, skin rash)

·Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tiredness

·Stomach cramps

You should store your Co-Codamol tablets in a safe place where children cannot see or reach them. Store below 25c in a dry place and protect from light.
